Mandolin neck

The neck block was glued from 2 pieces of 8/4 mahogany then cut a 14 degree cut made on the band saw, flattened on the jointer. Next a slot was made for a carbon fiber bar and the glued in with epoxy.

I made templates out of foam core.

Band sawing both directions you end up with the rough neck.

Using home made cradle jig,draw knife and spoke shave I round over the neck.

A safe-t-planer is used to flatten the back of the head stock.

Dragon files and a few more templates made from mahogany.

Final shaping and sanding.
